The other four magic domains have unique things not available to any other domain:
- White: statues that passively boost defense %
- Black: revive dead soldiers as usable undead soldiers
- Blue: Artifact that controls mighty spirit warrior
- Green: harvest resources that boost soldier stats
So it doesn’t feel right that essentially Red’s greater demon magic basically just provides a Power with bells and whistles (including the death of the soldier….)
SO! It’s time to develop Demonic Curses. Have some ideas for how to make it work:
- IDEA: By having a DemonDiscovery() reveal a spell usable by an existing Greater Demon, you can use them to curse a Rival to harm them somehow
- DEBATE: Do you use it on a demon that’s not invested, or do you need to invest the demon in a soldier first?
- DEBATE: Should you (A) send the demon disembodied, (B) invest it in a soldier and send the soldier, or (C) use a medium (non-Powered soldier) to carry the spell? Somewhat relates to previous debate
- IDEA: Damage can be damage to teams, defenses, etc
- IDEA: THe damage should relate to the specialization of the demon, so either a combat damage, magic damage, or subtlety damage
- DEBATE: Does it have to penetrate the magical defenses, the perimeter or internal defenses, or what?
- DEBATE: Should other Rivals be able to use these on you also? >_>
I’m not done with BeastHarvest yet so I have a little time to think about this, but this sure pushes back the release of 1.4.0 haha
